ART AS A WEAPON - DRAMATURGY WORKSHOP LED BY JULIAN HETZEL AND MIGUEL ANGEL MELGARES - 1 CFU

PROGRAMMA:
“The workshop focuses on the transformation of concepts into visual statements and into performative situations that have urgency, and introduces certain artistic principles and strategies that define and shape the creative processes – from research and development to the making. Hetzel and Melgares will give insight into the working methods developed over the past years together, sharing their vision on dramaturgy as a collaborative practice.
An element that will be explored during the workshop is the integration of the “real” into art and how this idea creates impact. In his work, Hetzel searches for ways how art can directly influence economy, society and politics. He follows a un-disciplinary approach to create immersive experiences that resonate in the visitor for a long time. Here theatre is combined with performance, music and visual art into hybrid experiences where the audience is directly involved and addressed. Hetzel’s interest is to challenge the modes of spectatorship by creating situations and images that need the presence of the audience as much as the performer on stage. The relation between performer and audience will be a central question during the workshop.
The subject the participants will be working on is: Hope”.
Il laboratorio, che consente di acquisire 1 cfu per altre attività formative, è condotto da Julian Hetzel (artista performativo, visivo e musicista tedesco, direttore artistico della compagnia Ism & Heit con sede nei Paesi Bassi: julian-hetzel.com/) e Miguel Angel Melgares (artista visivo e drammaturgo spagnolo, collaboratore abituale di Hetzel: mamelgares.net/).

Il laboratorio si svolgerà in streaming su Zoom (i partecipanti riceveranno il link via mail una decina di minuti prima di ogni lezione). Sono previste alcune ore di lavoro autonomo. È richiesta una buona padronanza della lingua inglese.
CANDIDATURE:
Il laboratorio è aperto a 15 studenti dell’Università Sapienza e, gratuitamente, a 5 allievi esterni all’Ateneo, purché under 30.
Gli studenti verranno ammessi in base all’ordine di invio della candidatura. Per iscriversi mandare una mail all’indirizzo laboratorispettacolo@uniroma1.it (oggetto: “Studenti - Art as a weapon”) entro venerdì 19 febbraio, indicando nome – cognome – numero di matricola – corso di laurea – anno di corso.
Gli esterni dovranno inviare la propria candidatura all’indirizzo laboratorispettacolo@uniroma1.it (oggetto: “Esterni - Art as a weapon”) entro venerdì 19 febbraio, indicando nome – cognome – data di nascita – autopresentazione e motivazione per cui si desidera partecipare al laboratorio (max 10 righe). Non allegare CV. Le 5 persone ammesse verranno ricontattate entro domenica 21 febbraio.
